When sending resumes online do you sent with an attachment or email in the body of the letter?

problem with formatting cut & paste what font & size I heard Courier 12 65lines problems is right margin too small. What does employers & headhunters want & what does job hunters do. I did cut & paste but took about 3 hours to correct & send let me know
