Edward imprinting on Bella?

In Eclipse Edward tells Bella about imprinting and he says something along the lines of, "It's very nearly the same way I feel about you." He means that he is even more in love with Bella than he would be if he imprinted on her. So he did not imprint on Bella, but he does have an exaggerated feeling of love than a human, or even werewolf would have. So no, he did not imprint on Bella, he did something stronger.
